Sample Itinerary

3-day white water rafting overnight camping trip in Montana:

Day 1:

  • Arrival in Montana and check-in at your chosen accommodation

  • Meet your rafting guide at Montana 406 Outdoors Adventures office for an orientation and safety briefing

  • Depart for the river for a half-day rafting trip on the Gallatin River, which offers thrilling Class III and IV rapids

  • Set up camp at a designated campsite along the river

  • Enjoy dinner cooked over a campfire and overnight camping under the stars

Day 2:

  • Wake up to a hot breakfast cooked by your guides

  • Depart for a full-day rafting trip on the Yellowstone River, which offers stunning views of the Yellowstone National Park and Class III rapids

  • Lunch will be served on the river

  • Return to your campsite for another night of camping and a delicious dinner

Day 3:

  • Wake up to another hot breakfast cooked by your guides

  • Depart for a half-day rafting trip on the Madison River, which offers a more relaxed float with Class I and II rapids

  • Return for debriefing and a farewell lunch

  • Depart for the airport or your next destination
