Montana's Scenic Drives: The Ultimate Road Trip Adventure
Montana is a land of open spaces, rugged terrain, and breathtaking beauty. It's a state that begs to be explored, and what better way to do that than on a scenic drive? With so many options to choose from, it can be tough to decide which road to take. But no matter which route you choose, you're guaranteed to experience some of the most stunning landscapes in the world.

One of the most famous scenic drives in Montana is the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park. This 50-mile stretch of road winds through the heart of the park and offers spectacular views of glaciers, mountain ranges, and pristine lakes. It's an engineering marvel that took over a decade to build, and it's worth every moment of the drive.

If you're looking for a more leisurely drive, consider the Beartooth Highway. This 68-mile stretch of road takes you from Red Lodge to Cooke City and offers panoramic views of the Beartooth Mountains. You'll wind your way up to an altitude of 10,947 feet, passing by alpine lakes, waterfalls, and wildflower meadows along the way.

Another stunning drive is the Montana portion of the Yellowstone Loop. This 225-mile route takes you through the northern part of Yellowstone National Park, where you'll have the opportunity to see wildlife such as bison, elk, and bears. You'll also pass by stunning geysers and hot springs, including the iconic Old Faithful.

For a taste of Montana's wide-open spaces, take a drive on the Big Sky Backcountry Drive. This 77-mile route takes you through the heart of the state's ranching country and offers stunning views of the Absaroka and Beartooth Mountains. You'll also pass through quaint towns and historic sites, giving you a taste of Montana's rich cultural heritage.
